Kitty Harvill, mais bem conhecida por suas luminosas pinturas em aquarela, é uma artista versátil nos temas e nas técnicas. Trabalha atualmente tanto a pastel e óleo quanto com aquarela. E seu foco temático tornou-se o da deslumbrante natureza e da vida selvagem do Brasil, onde vive agora. Boa parte de seu trabalho está focado em espécies em extinção e na beleza da Floresta Atlântica. Seu uso de cores, tanto dramáticas quanto delicadas, e sua resposta instintiva ao jogo de luzes sobre seu objeto continuam sendo características definidoras da artista, que se esforça por apresentar ao espectador a maravilha, a magia e em última análise a importância de uma região severamente ameaçada de nosso planeta. |

Kitty Harvill, best known for her luminous watercolor paintings, is a versatile artist in both subject matter and medium. She is now working in pastel and oil as well as watercolor. And her subject matter has become that of the exquisite nature and wildlife of Brazil where she now lives. Much of her work is focused on endangered species and the beauty of the Atlantic Forest. Her use of color, both dramatic and delicate, her instinctual response to the play of light on her subject continue to be defining characteristics of the artist as she strives to present the viewer with the wonder, magic, and ultimately the importance of a severely threatened area of our planet. |
